For three decades, Fodor’s was loyal to its guidebook look. Like, really loyal. Same clean formula, year after year. Then the ‘80s rolled in—and things got interesting.

Starting with our 1982 Mexico guide, Fodor’s decided to have a little fun. Out went the rigid template, in came illustrated covers bursting with color, personality, and just the right amount of flair.

And now, for our 90th anniversary, we’re bringing that energy back in t-shirt form. Consider this our official throwback moment: a celebration of peak ‘80s style, reimagined for today but still delivering that same bold, can’t-miss-it vibe.

First up: our summer drop of North American spots. Vintage covers you can actually wear, featuring Mexico 1982, Hawaii 1983, Canada 1985, Los Angeles 1985, New England 1987. It’s nostalgia, it’s style, and it’s a little bit of travel daydreaming.
